Overview of Services

Northern Arizona University Genetics Core Facility (GCF) is the designated core facility for genomic research at NAU. The GCF hosts instrumentation for most modern genetic and genomic investigations. NAU GCF is a fee-for-service institution where clients pay for instrument usage and consumables needed to complete their project. Equipment: Illumina MiSeq, Applied Biosystems 3730XL DNA Analyzer, Thermal Cyclers, Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR System, Fragment Analyzer for automated for automated parallel capillary electrophoresis, Bioanalyzer for chip-based capillary electrophoresis, Pippin Prep for size selection, MPBio FastPrep 24 for tissue homogenizing, NanoDrop One spectrophotometer and bench space.
