Overview of Services

Northern Arizona University Genetics Core Facility is the designated core facility for genomic research at NAU. The lab provides genetic and genomic research support to a range of public and private institutions throughout Northern Arizona researchers at NAU pursuing environmental and biomedical research projects. EnGGen hosts instrumentation for most modern genetic and genomic investigations. EnGGen is a fee-for-service institution where clients pay for instrument usage and consumables needed to complete their project. Equipment: Illumina MiSeq, Applied Biosystems 3730XL DNA Analyzer, Thermal Cyclers, Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR System, Fragment Analyzer for automated for automated parallel capillary electrophoresis, Bioanalyzer for chip-based capillary electrophoresis, Pippin Prep for size selection, automated liquid handler, MPBio FastPrep 24 for tissue homogenizing, NanoDrop One spectrophotometer and Hoefer Dyna Quant 300 fluorometer, bench space.
